Jack CHERBO Obituary

CHERBO, Jack A leading figure in the publishing industry, Jack Cherbo died on November 14, 2011, at his home in Los Angeles, California, at age 85. Jack was born in Chicago, IL, on May 1, 1926. A longtime supporter of the Democratic Party and numerous charitable and community organizations, Jack will long be remembered for his generosity and sense of humor. Windsor Publications in Encino in the late
60's provided my dad's company Service's Unlimited with a maintenance contract that followed Windsor from the Encino location to the Woodland Hills location. After the contract was over, Windsor hired my uncle from the maintenance company as a proofreader who then stayed with the company through the early 80's. Those days were a blur but very productive. Dad, my uncle, mom and most of my folks have moved on with
Jack; however Chicago folks which is where my folks were from, like Jack were the best. He was good people and thanks to him he helped my family have a good life. Thanks Jack

Tom and I will miss you cousin Jack. I can remember when I was a child in Chicago and my brother and I would come over to play with Mimi and Brian. You always had a smile and a joke for us. I never felt like a stranger. You also took Us to see Bozo the clown. I will always remember you.

Love,

Cousin Rhonda

My dad did the cleaning @ the Encino office '68 and then when you moved co. to Woodland Hills. My uncle who also worked for my dad in the cleaning of the building then was hired by Windsor as a proofreader. Jack was part of that great generation of doers and taking care of business. God bless you and your family.

Dear Elaine & Family:
What a great loss. Jack was always such a vital and strong man. I learned a great deal when I worked with him at Windsor Publications and continued to enjoy both his and your friendship through the years.

Please know I am thinking of all of you

Elaine: I am so sorry to hear about Jack. He was such a kind man. I haven't forgotten the visits Jack made to see my late husband, Terry, at our Ironwood home after Terry had his stroke. My best to you and your family.
