Irene and I were friends for 41 years. I knew her mom, dad, and met Andrew. Although I moved away we would connect every few years and when we got together we never missed a beat. We picked up from where we left off. We shared special secrets, laughter, tears, and a connection that will last forever. I missed her last year and did not know of her illness; I would have come to her immediately if I had knows as well as have attended her memorial service. I sadly found out unexpectedly in reading the SAG magazine today.

I love you Irene and I will see you in eternity and that is a fact because I was there with you!!!

If anyone can help me get in touch with Andrew and other family members or friends of Irene I would so appreciate it.

Sad news... She was the nicest casting director I met while I was in LA a couple of years ago. We had started a formal drink at "Chocolat" on Melrose, and it went on so well that we had decided to have dinner, after she offered me her assistance for rushing to find a cellphone card just before the store'd close ! We'd had a lot of fun, and I have a vivid souvenir of her...

I loved Irene's pixie spirit, her kindness and generosity of love, time and input. She was a remarkably talented woman in many ways. And she truly loved people. I am sure she is keeping the angels in stitches up there in heaven and God is smiling.

I knew Irene for a short time from 2008 on. What I learned was that she was an extremely caring and loving person. She taught me a lot in a very short time and I'm forever thankful for that. I was deeply saddened when I found out about her battle with brain cancer. I had the opportunity to spend several hours with Irene after her first surgery at a care home in West Hollywood. She was her usual self, she was happy and wasn't letting her medical complications bring her spirit down.
My deepest condolences go to the family and friends of Irene.
Rest in peace Irene, you will be missed and not forgotten.
