Geraldine A. GILL

GILL, Geraldine A. July 12, 1922-October 21, 2010 Our beloved Geri was born July 12, 1922 to Marian E. Heim (nee Roche) and Edward Heim in Hollywood, CA. She and her sister, Marion, lived in Hollywood when it was just a small town, living amidst a large and loving family. Geri married 2nd Lt. Ralph Arthur Gill just before he shipped out to the Pacific in 1944. In 1949 the family moved to the San Fernando Valley where she lived for 61 years. Here they raised four children, James Arthur, Mark Anthony, Marianne and Paul Wesley. Geri passed away gently on October 21, 2010. Her family and friends remember her as a kind, loving and dedicated mother. In addition to her family and home, Geri's passion was her garden. No one could whack at a rosebush and produce more gorgeous flowers. She leaves behind many friends and family who were blessed to have known this generous and forever happy person.
Her survivors include her four children, daughters-in-law Claire and Dea Gill, son-in-law Randy Wood, grandchildren Megan and Paul "P.G." Gill and Michael Goluch. The family wishes to thank the very kind and caring caregivers at Windsor Gardens in North Hollywood. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, at 13001 Victory Blvd., No. Hollywood., on November 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in her memory be made to the John Wayne Cancer Institute.
