Blanche HARMAN Obituary

HARMAN, Blanche Leona September 5, 1928- November 10, 2010 Blanche Leona Harman passed away on November 10, 2010 at St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton, California. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald, three sons, Steven, Scott and Larry, two daughters-in-law, Catherine and Cindy, and three grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, and Amanda.
Blanche loved life and was giving of herself and her time, teaching Special Education for many years before becoming a travel agent and traveling the world with her husband, and becoming a Museum Docent at the Childrens' Museum. She enjoyed her social time with "the girls," playing regular games of poker and pan until shortly before her death. Blanche always strove to improve herself, returning to Cal State Fullerton after raising her three sons to earn a Master's Degree in Special Education and later derived much pleasure from the "CLE" classes she took there. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Pacific View Cemetery, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 17771 Cowan, Suite 200, Irvine, CA 92614, or at www.alz.org/oc.
