We would like to send our Love and prayers to the Richard "Dick" Loggins Family. I had the pleasure of meeting Dick at my Fiance's Softball Final several years ago (Henry Torres). He was a very bright, warm, funny man. Henry was out of town on a family emergency when I got a call that Dick had passed away and I waited for him to come home to tell him the news. He was very sad about it. Dick was a good friend to Henry and we liked him very much. Mrs. Loggins, I want you to know that because of your husband's passing, that made Henry and I realize how precious and short life is. After being together 7 years, we made the decision to finally get married on 1/31/11. Thank you for the friendship, Dick, may you rest in peace and we will never forget you or your funny jokes!

Being out of state didn't give me the opportunity to be with Uncle Dick and family as much as I would have liked. I will miss him dearly because, even though we were states apart, I thought of you often. Your sense of humor, your laugh and the stories. I kick myself for not calling sooner. Please forgive me! I love you and will miss you always. Stasia

My sympathy to Cheryl and the Loggins family and to all Dick's friends. I met Dick at the San Marino Bridge Club and served with him on the bridge unit board of directors. There I enjoyed talking with him about sports and his days as a sports official. We also chatted often about golf. Sorry to hear about his passing.

I played golf with Dick for the past fours years. I will miss him dearly on those Tuesday mornings. I enjoyed working with him on the football field as well. He was the first guy to welcome me into football officating. He was a good friend.

Dick was also a formidable bridge player and was a Bronze Life Master in the National ranking, which placed him in the top 30% of all players. True to his personality, he gave much to the local bridge community. I am glad that I knew Dick, and will remember him as a gruff old teddy bear who could play bridge with the best. --Roy Wilson

I worked with Dick at Edison for over ten years. He had a mechanical background while mine was electrical but we became good friends. He introduced me to deep sea fishing, taught me how to tie hooks onto fishing lines, helped me outfit my fishing tackle and was very patient with my lack of skills. I have never learned to fish as well as Dick but still had many memorable trips with him. I especially remember our trip with other Edison folks to Alaska where we caught big Salmon and Halibut. Very good memories. I will miss him a lot.

Dick Loggins was a true friend to so many good people. This was clearly in evidence on Wednesday at his wonderful rememberance dinner. Great memories of Dick and his kindness will last for years for those of us who were so fortunate to know him. We hope that Cheryl and the rest of Dick's family will accept our condolences and prayers on their loss.

I enjoyed Richard's friendship throughout
the years. We knew one another through
sports' officiating. He cared about this
avocation and served the San Gabriel
Valley Officials' Association as an
instructor-and-mentor to thousands of
aspiring officials.
Dick worked a myriad of football, base-
ball, and softball games throughout
the San Gabriel Valley while providing
the student-athletes of this region
with professional, competent, and
honest fair-play. Additionally, Dick
received many play-off assignments,
(in all three sports), throughout
the CIF, Southern Section.
A more "down-to-earth" gentleman you will never find.
Richard has gone home to be with Our
Dear Lord. We thank Our Dear Lord for
the privilege of knowing this fine
gentleman.
