Alison was so inspirational, and funny - I was grateful to have her as one of my first professors in grad school at UCI. My heartfelt condolences to her family. She will be missed.

I was invited and very much regret that I did not go to Allison's retirement party; at the time it seemed so far away, with me in Philadelphia, and her in California. We lost touch after that. I believe the last time I really saw her was on the tour of China that took place after the meeting of the International Society for the Study of Behavioral
Development...a lifetime. But she and Ross Parke were happily married then, and had been for some time. I have many great professional memories of Alison--her wit and charm were inspirational to all of us who liked and appreciated her style...a fusion of Canadian, Yale, and UChicago! I am sincerely glad I can say I knew her.
