Alison was so inspirational, and funny - I was grateful to have her as one of my first professors in grad school at UCI. My heartfelt condolences to her family. She will be missed.

I was invited and very much regret that I did not go to Allison's retirement party; at the time it seemed so far away, with me in Philadelphia, and her in California. We lost touch after that.
