Annette Del Zoppo Obituary

Del Zoppo, Annette
Born January 4, 1936 in Hollywood, CA, passed away November 2, 2001 of cancer. Former student at USC School of Architecture. Annette worked at Albert C. Martin Architects before joining the office of Charles and Ray Eames in 1961. At Eames for 10 years, she worked on films, multi-image presentations, and exhibits. In 1973, she founded Annette Del Zoppo Productions, where, together with her husband, she produced films and multi-image presentations for architecture and design firms, museums and exhibitions, and commercial real estate developers. Clients included Herman Miller, Skidmore Owings and Merrill, the Jerde Partnership, Johnson Fain Architects, Raikovich Development, Playa Capital, 20th Century Fox, Maguire Partners, and Sussman/Prejza among many others. Her most recent years were spent helping others as a tenants' rights activist working tirelessly with SMRR, LAFLA, and St. Anne's Church in Santa Monica. She is survived by husband Jim Simmons and brother Alex Del Zoppo. Services will be held Saturday, November 10, 12:30 p.m., at the Old North Church, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to Santa Monicans for Renters Rights is suggested.
