Garnet Murray Obituary
October 29, 1950 - November 9, 2010
Garnet passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2010 in LA, CA. He is survived by his loving husband, Tommy, his brother, Harold, and his sister, Sandra and their families. Preceeded in death by his brothers, Gordon and Glenn.
Garnet will be remembered for being an accomplished professional dancer and teacher, and a published poet and artist. He was beloved by all for his unique personality, great laugh and love of life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 21st at 1pm. Details: [email protected]

Dear Garnet - my heart is so sore knowing I will not hear your voice teaching your students at the studio - nor will I see your bright smile shining at me across the dance floor - I miss you so much - I take comfort in knowing your spirit has left its mark both in our hearts and minds and that will last forever ......I hold you in love ......your fellow teacher

My friend and neighbour - what an artist, poet and wonderful host- whose life was living, breathing art - when you walked into his apartment you knew he loved life- it was a magical grotto -a place of the imagination - I loved it.
