Ray was one cool dude with a unique approach to life that was the envy of us all. He always had time to listen to your complaints or acccomplshments. When he was diagnosed with lung cancer he told the doctor that he didn't have time for chemo because he still had things to do.
I would love to hear Ray's opinion of what it's like to jump into the great abyss.

Ray, I will always be grateful for your friendship, your enthusiasm for life, and your constant positive support for me as I tried to find my "perfect wave" so many years ago. I will miss our conversations about anything and everything, and I will always carry you and your words of encouragement inside of me.

It was always 'outstanding' with you, Ray and we all did it right in your eyes.

I know you continue to watch over all of us as you sit on the wings of angels.

God Bless

Ray Owen - Great guy, friend to many and my best friend. Thank you for always being there. You were a wise man and I'll miss you very much.

Toes on the nose my goofy footed friend: surf's up at Sunset, tide's right, meet you on the outside. Gilbert's or Patrick's afterwards?
