Henrietta Leavitt Obituary

Leavitt, Henrietta
November 15, 1918 - December 28, 2010
Henrietta "Honey" Leavitt
Born in Chicago with twin sister, Mickey, Honey was a caring and dutiful daughter and sister to both Mickey and younger brother Jim. Honey's love of dance led her to perform tap dancing at the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. After meeting the man of her dreams, Dr. Julius Leavitt, they married and settled down in Los Angeles to raise their two children. Becoming part of L.A. life, she exhibited both love of family, friends and helped found Women Against Cancer.
Honey is survived by son Richard (Carol); daughter Renee (John); grandchildren Erin, Allison (Matt), Nicole, Justin (Samantha); and great-grandchildren Hannah, Hudson and Nathan; brother Jim (Shirely); nieces Sandy (Burke), Susie, Joan (David) and Richard (Susan).
Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park, Thursday 12:00 PM.
