Jacquelyn BRITTS Obituary

BRITTS, Jacquelyn Barr (74), of Playa del Rey, CA, left us for Heaven on November 2, 2010. Jackie was a member of Culver-Palms UMC and Central UMC of Salem, VA. At Central, she was a long time member of the Chancel Choir, a Sunday School Teacher and served as Chairperson of the Church Board. One of her significant contributions to the community was establishing an after-school program which included outreach for underprivileged children in Salem. At Culver-Palms, she was in the UMW Faith Circle. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Bill, son Billy and wife Christina of Seattle, WA, daughter Kimberly and husband Doug of Playa del Rey. She is also survived by her sister Mary and husband Eddie Camper of Fairfax VA, sister Janice Pierce of Salem VA and sister Barby and husband Bob Bardsley of Las Vegas. Three grandchildren, Hans, Ian and Eva, also survive her. She was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Barr of Birmingham, AL.
A lovely memorial service was conducted by Rev. Lynette Fuka of Culver-Palms UMC on November 5, 2010. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Jackie should be made to Culver-Palms UMC, 4464 Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City, CA 90230. The gifts should be designated for the Children's Ministry.

Dear Bill and Family, There is a void in our lives now that Jackie has left us to join her Jesus. Jackie was one of my very favorite people in the world and what fun we had when we got together. I will carry these great memories with me all my life and I feel so blessed that she was in my life. Bill, we are so truly sorry for your loss.
Love,
