In 1950, she married her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 58 years, Ronald Carpenter, Sr. (predeceased in October 2008). They lived and raised their children in Mar Vista and enjoyed dates to El Coyote and the theatre throughout their loving years together.

She will forever live in our hearts. In Marcia's memory please call or write an old friend. Patty, Carol, Mary and family,

I was so sorry to hear about your mom, sister, grandmother, aunt and my cousin. I, too, have many fond memories of Marcia who, along with Mary and my second cousins, entertained "Dorothy" from Kansas on my early trips to meet the family with Great-Aunt Pattie. Marcia was always filled with laughter and hugs! She certainly loved her family and never did I talk with her without her briefing me about her children and grandchildren. I am so glad that I was able to have dinner with Ron and Marcia in 2008 (thanks to Mary and Bob). I was so glad to get a Christmas card from Marcia this year, along with her picture, her letter sounded so upbeat and that she was enjoying her new residence with the ocean view! While losing your loved one is never easy, I can't think of a better way to go than to spend Christmas Day celebrating with your children and grandchildren. We should all be a little jealous as Marcia got to celebrate Christmas twice....once with you and once with her parents in Heaven! Take comfort in knowing that Marcia is now free from pain and worries and back in the loving arms of Ronny and other family members. Know that I wish I could be there with you all but I'll be there in spirit and will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Love, Renee & Patrick Hanrahan (Wichita, KS)
