Marilyn Hirsch Obituary

April 13, 1930 - September 16, 2013
Marilyn Grace Hirsch passed away on September 16, 2013 peacefully surrounded by those who loved her. Born in Trenton, New Jersey on April 13, 1930, she was the only child of Lou and Anne Bell. Marilyn grew up with visions of life in New York City. Those dreams came true when she met and married Jack Hirsch and moved to Forest Hills, New York. It was there that her three children, David, Linda, and Helenann, were born. Marilyn and Jack started a new life for their family in 1966 when they moved to Los Angeles, California. It was there that she became a respected and indispensable office manager for a law firm. After Jack passed away in 1975, Marilyn shouldered the burden of being a single mother and provided her family with the necessities of life, but more importantly, with unconditional love. The children she raised went on to have families of their own, producing what brought the most joy to Marilyn's life - her grandchildren Alexandra, Jackson, Benjamin, and Sadie.
One of the wonderful things about Marilyn was the response she got upon meeting new people. Her smile and personality made people feel comfortable and happy to be around her.
Even when her body started failing her, she kept her sense of humor and handled her situation with grace.
Her passing leaves a hole in many lives, but her children, their spouses, and her adored grandchildren will always have her in their hearts.
