Mary MALOY Obituary

MALOY, Mary Lou Passed away after a long battle with Alzheimers on October 17, 2010 in Pasadena, California at the age of 83. Mary Lou was born on January 12, 1927 in Salt Lake, Utah. She was a loving and devoted wife and is survived by her husband Jim of 45 years; his children Peggy and Chad Cannan; Pam and John Boyle; sister-in-law Shirley Taylor; nephew John Doolittle and wife Julie; niece Sharon Baucher; and niece Jill Money and husband Chris; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; three great nephews and two great nieces. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Burbank and sealed her marriage to Jim Maloy at the Los Angeles Temple. An educator, Mary Lou received her bachelors and masters degree in administrative elementary education at UCLA. Mary Lou spent most of her career in the San Fernando Valley as an elementary teacher and principal, retiring from the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1986. She was loved by all of her colleagues and students. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
