Rosemary MARCO Obituary

MARCO, Rosemary Stadtmiller
(97), widow of Joseph Dominic Marco, M.D. She is survived by five children, Michael Marco, Michele (Tom) Kneafsey, Robin (Gary) Osterberg, Pat Steinert, and Terry (Duncan) Thomas, also survived by three sisters, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. During her nursing career at St. Joseph's Hospital in Akron, Ohio, she met the love-of-her-life, Dr. Joseph Marco. In 1937, the newlyweds moved to Los Angeles. Rosemary was artistically talented, well read, well traveled. She loved to paint, cook, garden, sew, needlepoint and entertain. She was a true "Renaissance woman." She volunteered for many years at St. Anne's Maternity Hospital and won their coveted "Angel Award." By her example and influence, she passed her many gifts on to her children and grandchildren for which they are forever grateful. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Today, Tuesday (October 5, 2010) at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 2060 N. Vermont Ave. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to St. Anne's Maternity Home, 155 N. Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026. Gates, Kingsley, Gates, Culver City, Drs. (310.837.7121)
