I have a movie about me, being given a bath. Stan Moe made it in 1943. I got it out the other day. I had found a local place that could could convert it to a DVD. Its quite fragile, and I didn't want to ship it away for conversion. I'll have have the local conversion done.

I've corresponded with Stan since 1961.
Recently I was thinking I ought to write him another letter. He was the last of my father's friends.

Last time I saw him , he visited me at my former home in Duluth and regaled me and and my son Skyler with stories about north Africa and how got he got hired at DMJM. My daughter Erika expressed regret That she wasn't home at the time. She informed me of Stan's
passing tonight. During an appointment
with with her academic advisor at the U of MN, the advisor asked if she knew
that Stan Moe had passed. The advisor
is a Architecture Prof., and had noticed the obit.

Stan visited UND and North Dakota several times. I was amazed at his intelligence, entrepreneurship and leadership, and appreciated his ability to be a boy from the North Dakota plains and a man of the world. The world was a much better place for his 96 years.

Stan was my father's (Barney Larsen) business partner and good friend. They met in Minnesota and moved to California to begin an architectural and engineering firm in Southern California. Stan and my Dad, Mom, and Doris (Stan's wife) and all of us kids, my brother Dave, Billie and Myra spent a lot of fun times together. They were wonderful years. I am so glad that Dave and I decided to visit Stan last Christmas when were in LA for the holidays with Terry's (my husband)sister and husband. Stan was an accomplished man. Brilliant. Both my Dad and Stan made the world a better place because of the amazing work they did and what they accomplished. Glad I knew him.
