I loved my Great Uncle Vinnie so much! He took my Grandmother Rose in after her husband died when she was only 32 years old. How many Brothers would do that? So for all of my life he was more like a Grandfather to me and that's how I viewed him. My heart is so sad, but I know that he is in heaven with his beloved Parents, Brothers and Sisters. I will miss him very much.
He had such a great witty sense of humor. We would sit at the kitchen table and talk and laugh for hours. He loved to tell me stories about our family and the past. Vinnie enjoyed spending his time at his desk and when he was younger he loved his favorite chair in the living room where he watched sports and the news. In his later years he enjoyed crossword puzzles, novels and solataire. Although he wouldn't always admit it, Vinnie loved it when anybody in his family came for a visit. He lived for his family and loved each and every one of us beyond measure. I spoke with him a few days before he passed away and his last words to me were, "I love you." I will treasure that for the rest of my days. God Bless you Uncle Vinnie and rest in peace. Love, Lisa

I'm shedding some tears as I fondly remember dear Vinnie, my father's boyhood friend. I enjoyed so many visits to Chandler Blvd. from the time I was a little girl. Now the two old pals are together again in Heaven.
