George BALTAXE Obituary

December 26, 1932 - July 3, 2013
George Baltaxe was a wonderful husband, family man and attorney. He was witty, good-natured and always had a positive outlook on life. Born in Vienna, Austria he and his family fled to the U.S. during WWII. George lived most of his life in Los Angeles, yet spent his formative years in New York. A graduate of Harvard Law School he was an accomplished trial lawyer who practiced law to the very end. George loved debate, adventure and travel and visited 71 countries. He is survived by his wife Christiane and family. He will be forever loved and cherished.
Services will be held on Friday, July 12th at 11:00am at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Simi Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Harvard Law School Fund, [email protected] or Tree of Israel, Jewish National Fund, www.jnf.org/support/tree-planting-center/

George Baltaxe was one of the most unique people I have ever known. I was privileged to work with him through most of the 1980's. My deepest sympathies to your family.
