Hratch Kludjian Obituary

KLUDJIAN, Hratch A. Passed away on May 15, 2009 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 27, 1929 in Methuen, MA to Alexander and Sarah Kludjian. After graduating from Los Angeles High School Hratch enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. He then worked in retail, attending USC and WLA Law School until becoming employed by the State of California. Hratch married Arpy Kludjian in Lowell, MA on April 15, 1956. They moved to California and eventually settled in Malibu, raising their three children. Hratch had a lifelong love of animals and nature and was known as the birdman of Malibu. He bred and raced prize winning homing pigeons and was an avid gardener and fisherman. Hratch is survived by his loving wife Arpy, children Cina (Tevita), Lisa (David), Gregg (Karina), brother Yervant and six grandchildren. The family thanks Kaiser WLA and Kaiser WH for their excellent care and compassion. Per his wishes Hratch was cremated. Memorial Gathering will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ararat Home.
