Morris Hertz Obituary

Hertz, Morris
August 30, 1927 - March 24, 2012
Morris Hertz passed away peacefully March 24, 2012 at the age of 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sally Acimovic Hertz, stepsons Alex and Chris Acimovic, and granddaughter Isabel Acimovic. He will be remembered as a cherished friend to all who knew him. Morris grew up in Perth, Australia where he attended Perth Modern School, with distinction in English. During the 1960's, he lived briefly in New York City and attended the NY School of Visual Arts. He eventually returned to Sydney, Australia where he was Creative Director for advertising firm USP Needham. In 1976, Morris established roots in California when he married Sally Acimovic and became a dedicated father to her sons, Alex and Chris. He continued his career working with, among others, Ogilvy & Mather, Deutsche Shea & Evans and most recently, Bernard Hodes Group. Morris was an avid gardener, an exceptional chef and as any attendee will testify, a top notch host. Morris was a true renaissance man- he loved art, music, was a voracious reader and worked actively in the field he loved until his passing. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, April 29, 2012 at his residence. For more information please email [email protected].

I'm sorry. I meant Alex, not Eric. Please forgive me.

Sally, Chris, and Eric. My condolences, I'm so very sorry. From what little interaction I had with morris I liked him very much. I very much regret I wasn't a better and more caring neighbor. Again, I'm very sorry for your loss. With love, bob
