Morton Medway Obituary

September 4, 1926 - October 27, 2013 Medway, Morton Born in Philadelphia, he served in WWII. Owned Mort's Deli, located in Tarzana, CA for over 40 years. Survived by his loving wife Rebecca, and her children Wendy Bachelis, Lisa Stern (Howard) and five grandchildren. Mort had 5 children from his first marriage, Sharon Gorelick (Dr. Seymour) Sandra Matthew (Dr. Andy) Carole Medway, Debi Medway, Dr. David Medway (Lori,) 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His funeral took place at Mount Sinai Mortuary on Oct. 30th. His warmth, kindness, love and laughter will be forever missed! Donations may be made to The Jewish Home for the Aging or the Concern Foundation.

y wife just called me to say that Mort had passed away last month. Mort has been a fixture of Tarzana Ca and his name will continue to bring memory's of the past. We will always think of you when we have out matzo ball soup.

Mort was a very sweet and caring person. I got to know him over many weeks while my husband Arnold and he roomed together at the Los Angeles Jewish Home - Short Stay Rehab. So very sorry to have read of his passing. Best to Rebecca and all of the family.
