Roger Weisman Obituary

August 30, 1934 - July 4, 2015 Westlake Village - Roger Weisman, 80, died peacefully at home on July 4, 2015. He leaves his wife of 21 years, Trudy Weisman, his daughter Lesley, his sons David and John, his sister Carol, grandchildren and many dear friends. Born in Minneapolis, MN, an excellent student and athlete, Roger achieved the State Championship in wrestling in 1951. He attended the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, where he met and married the beautiful Roberta Fox in 1958, who preceded him in death, in 1979. After graduating law school, Roger moved to Los Angeles and began a career with the City of Los Angeles, as the Assistant City Attorney and retired in 2001. Roger cared deeply for humanity, exemplified by his volunteer work. He sat on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood, and provided legal service to several other non-profit organizations. He was also Commodore of the Westlake Yacht club and enjoyed involvement in community activities. All who knew Roger loved him¿ He was respected by all. A "Celebration of Life" will be 1 August 2015 at the Westlake Yacht Club, at 1:00pm., located at 32123 West Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361.
