It´s 6 years since Edith left...I think of her every day, quote her often...especially "no good deed goes unpunished" and miss her terribly. I have her brisket recipe...wish I had her cookie recipe for the cookies she hid in her buffet...loved it when I visit her I place a tiny stone somewhere...always wonder if they find them

Sending my condolences to the family. May God give you peace and strength during this difficult time. (Ps. 29:11)

The first day I worked for Edith, she came to my desk at 5 o'clock and told me to stop working. She said "You got too much sun on your face this past weekend. You might not regret it now but you will when you get to be my age." She also told me "You not only have a Jewish mother at home, your have a Jewish mother at work too." I was exhausted from working so hard and quite overwhelmed by all the wisdom.
Dear family, I wish I had told Edith how much I appreciated her, how much she inspired me and how much I loved her. Edith will always be in my heart with gratitude and grace.

I don't know. How and when does one savor a friendship? In the moment or after it is gone? Both, I think. Only, there is tremendous ache after it is gone. And savoring becomes the only antidote. Kerry

Dear Stephen and Michael,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I am the daughter of her 1st cousin Douglas Miller. I met your mom numerous times over the years and always loved to hear her very descriptive and humorous stories about life and the family.
May she be reunited with Mel the love of her life.
Fondly,
Cynthia Miller Grinbaum
