I had the pleasure of interviewing Merv Glow for the first issue of getMedLegal Magazine, for the "People Who Made A Difference" series. He told me many wonderful stories over several hours of calls. It was a privilege to hear and record his contribution to the fight for the rights of injured workers. He was truly a towering figure in workers' compensation law.

My sincere condolences to the family. I first met Merv as Judge Glow in Long Beach in the late 80's. Besides being fair and always well informed, I remember best the sweet smell of his pipe. Later I enjoyed Merv as we switched positions and I became a judge and he once again an advocate. I have missed seeing him in recent years-- the Long Beach WCAB has missed him, but I will always think of him fondly.
