My sincere condolences to the family. I first met Merv as Judge Glow in Long Beach in the late 80's. Besides being fair and always well informed, I remember best the sweet smell of his pipe. Later I enjoyed Merv as we switched positions and I became a judge and he once again an advocate. I have missed seeing him in recent years-- the Long Beach WCAB has missed him, but I will always think of him fondly.
