Derrick Santacroce Obituary
Survivors include his mother, Janet (Lucky) Santacroce, and three brothers: Stephen Santacroce (his wife Shawna, children Zylania, Zanthian, and Zundrian); Michael Santacroce (his children Elisa and James); all of Las Cruces; and his older brother Daniel Santacroce (his wife Trish and son Sean) that lives in New Jersey. He is also survived by a cousin, Jon Patrick Santacroce, and an aunt, Susie Crouch, of Las Cruces. His father, James Joseph Santacroce (and son Franklin) live in New Jersey.
Derrick will be sincerely missed by his family and his many friends. His mother says that love will not die with Derrick because he will forever be a part of her heart and firmly believes that he will find peace in the arms of his savior Jesus Christ. Derrick will always remain in our thoughts and prayers.
A memorial service will be held at Getz Funeral Home on January 09, 2009 at 10 a.m.

Still can´t believe he´s not here anymore. Couldn´t find a kinder soul. I don´t think Derrick had any enemies, everyone liked him. Soft spoken and humble. I remember when he moved, and then how excited I was when he visited NJ again. I´m just glad I got to see him one more time. Very comforting to know he loved Jesus, because that´s a guarantee we will see each other again in the kingdom of heaven!

As i get closer to the age of 36 myself it really hits me how young you were when we lost you. As barely a 19 year old when you left these years have flown by. You are gone but you are not forgotten.

Derrick was just far too young and too good a person to be taken so quickly. I will never forget him. He grew up on the same block as I did, and I can honestly say I have never heard a negative word spoken of him. We lost a sweet, kind, loving person. My deepest condolences to his closest friends and family. Goodbye for now, Derrick.

I was very close to Steven & Derrick. I grew up down the street from them & shared so many great times as close friends. I just learned of his passing. My condolences to his kind & loving family. The ones I knew & his wife & children who I never had the fortune to meet. God Bless his soul. R.I.P. My long missed friend.

In my 5 short months in Las Cruces in 1998, Derrick was a good friend, and we shared many good times. I have never forgotten him, and I am very saddened to hear about his passing. He will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed my visits with Derrick when he worked at Good Sam, and I know that many residents counted on his presence at night to help them feel safe.

I've known Derrick since highschool.Although it has been several years since I last talked to "Dirge", I will miss my friend. I know that our Lord Jesus Christ has welcomed Derrick into HIS arms and I will see him again.

I was really saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great guy and I have many fond memories of our teen years. He always had some funny story whenever we would run into each other in later years. He will be truly missed. My blessings to all of his family and friends.
