Leopoldo Trujillo

Leopoldo "Polo" Trujillo, 83, a former resident of Bayard, NM now of Las Cruces entered eternal rest Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, NM. He was born September 13, 1931 in Chiz, NM to Sofio G. Trujillo and Rosita Ortega. He is survived by two sons, Leo Trujillo and wife Ana of Bayard, NM; Danny Trujillo and wife Susan of Las Cruces, NM; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Trujillo and wife Josephina of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Rosa H. Trujillo ('13); one daughter, Mary Esther Torrez; five brothers, Chris, Gladis, Jerry, Henry and Terry Trjillo; two sisters, Clarita Archuleta and Carlota. Visitation will be Sunday, August 23 from 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 6pm with Deacon David Castañon reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Monday, August 24 at 10am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Paulus Kao officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Torrez, Cody Trujillo, Christopher Trujillo, Leo Trujillo III, Daniel Trujillo and Ricky Candelaria. Honorary pallbearers will be the rest of his family and grandchildren.
