Edward Tice Obituary

Edward J. Tice NEWMANSTOWN Edward J. Tice, 69, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Carol Light Tice, to whom he was married for 49 years. Born in Pine Grove, on March 1, 1944, he was the son of the late Harry and Irene Spangler Tice. Ed was a forklift operator for AWI in Robesonia, where he worked for 38 years. Ed was a very active man and enjoyed swimming, biking, and walking, but his favorite pastime was watching his grandsons race at Big Diamond Raceway and Grandview Speedway. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jeffrey Tice and wife, Anne of Richland; a daughter, Vicki, wife of Tom Umbenhauer of Richland; brothers, Robert, Charles, Richard, and John Tice; sisters, Catherine Leisey, Mary Louise Kramer, Hazel Heffner, Cecilia Aungst and Teresa White; and three grandchildren, Jordan and Jared Umbenhauer, and Cortney Tice. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Edward Tice, Jr.; brothers, Martin, Gene, and Harry Jr. Tice; and a sister, Christine Zerbe. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville 17003. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and one half hour prior to the service on Monday. www.kreamerfuneralhome.com

Carol, Vicki and family,
Such a shock to hear Eddie's passing. It's hard to believe I won't get to wave across the street to him anymore. He was such a proud grandfather to both Jordan and Jared at the races. My heartfelt sympathies to all those who knew and loved him.
