Margaret WEBER Obituary

Published by Regina Leader-Post from Oct. 15 to Oct. 16, 2014.
MARGARET EUGENIA (JEAN) WEBER
Jean passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, October 13, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her one true love, Superintendent Harold Donald Weber (retired, Regina Police Service). Jean was also predeceased by her parents Adam and Maria Samoila (Maxim) late of Avonlea, Saskatchewan; brothers, John and William (Ruth); sisters, Helen (George) Kiss, Eva (Lawrence Gienow) Roth, Marion Sylvester, Vera (Jack) Panas, and two infant brothers at birth. As well, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill, Gordon, August, Fred, Walter (Alvina), George (Viola) Weber, Clara (Gordon) Schulties and Frank Johnston. Jean is survived by her three loving children, Daryle (Dorothy) Red Deer, AB, Debbie Murray, Regina, SK, Doreen (John) Howitt, Nanaimo, BC; grandchildren, Kelly (Kip), Edmonton, AB, Keith (Lynn), Gatineau, PQ, Joshua (Monica), Edmonton, AB, Rossie and Quinton, Red Deer, AB and Jennifer Murray, Regina, SK; great-grandchildren, Zoe and Ethan, Gatineau, PQ and Annabelle, Red Deer, AB; sister-in-law Florence Johnston, Moose Jaw, SK and brother-in-law Melvin Sylvester, Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Jean was born on November 17, 1925 in Avonlea, SK. She enjoyed most of her full life in Regina, and was very proud of all the city had to offer. She was known as an accomplished watercolour and oil painter and many friends and family were fortunate to be recipients of her works, which were also hosted in public exhibitions. Bowling was always a favourite hobby, and Jean was presented numerous awards over the years. Those lucky enough to attend one of her informal organ 'concerts' will never forget her skill, Jean having learned totally by ear despite life-long hearing impairment. Her family, her Romanian heritage, 'her' Toronto Blue Jays and her beloved kitties brought her much joy. She was the light of so many lives and will be cherished for eternity. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Interment at Regina Memorial Gardens to follow. Flowers most gratefully declined. Those wishing to do so may make a donation in Jean's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or the Regina Humane Society, P.O. Box 3143 Stn Main, Regina, SK S4P 3G7. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com

Dear Doreen, Debbie, Darryl and your families...
I was very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I know you were all very close and her abscence will leave a hole in all your lives. She was a wonderful woman and I remember how well she treated us all when we were young - hard to belive it was over 50 years ago. Thinking of you all with sympathy and sadness... Heather
