Kenneth ROWSOM Obituary
Born March 30, 1937
Barrie passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family and his K9 companion Keata on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Barrie was predeceased by his wife Maxine, parents Herbert Rowsom and Dorothy Rowsom Frindell; Dorothy's second husband Stan Frindell; brother Garth Rowsom; and sister Joan Vandergrift. Barrie is survived by his children Gwen (Randy) Shiplack, Gail (Reg) Schutz, Lance (Starla), Carla (Gerald) McLennan, Marlo, and Monte (Yvett); grandchildren Nichole, Jaclyne, Randeen, Chelsee, Carmen, Emery-Dawn, Larissa, Sienna, Kyle, Jacob, Ayden, Brooklyn, Emilio and Luis; 7 great- grandchildren; brother Gerald. Barrie will be remembered for his devotion to his wife and children, his love of the open road, and a good game of cribbage or rummy. Barrie's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Santa Maria Nursing Home – your compassion and care made dad's final days easier. A private Graveside Service will be followed by a Celebration of Life on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 12:30 pm at the Balgonie United Church Hall, Main Street, Balgonie, SK. In Barrie's memory, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
