Robert Wayne Brimner
January 14, 1937 – December 28, 2016
Wayne will be remembered for his deep faith in a loving, merciful God; his relationship with Jesus coloured every facet of his life. Wayne's passing came 53 years to the day that he pledged himself to Joann until death did them part. As a devoted husband to Joann and father to Beth, he modelled that there is nothing you don't do for the ones you love. Wayne's enormous heart for people was his defining quality-always ready with a warm smile and ready handshake. A son of the prairies, Wayne delighted in watching crops grow as he travelled Saskatchewan's byways. He relished carpentry and "the garden." Wayne pastored Free Methodist churches in Aleida, Melfort, Regina and Winnipeg. Wayne was previous owner of Beltone Better Hearing Centre and the original owner of Homestead Ice Cream and Snack. Through Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, Wayne and Joann's "family" grew to include Chinese international students and their families. Wayne's presence and generosity of spirit will be sorely missed. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Joann and daughter, Beth; sister Marjorie (Roy) Vold, sister-in-law Leona Brimner, sister Sharon (Vern) Robinson, brother David (Shirley) Brimner, sister Audrey Reithmeier, sister-in-law Viola Mae Moyer, sister-in-law Beverly (Larry) Lau and each of their families. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Robert (Bob) and Jessie Brimner and brother Glen Brimner. We will celebrate Wayne's life on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Erindale Alliance Church, Saskatoon.
