Yvan Duval Obituary

TROY - Yvan J. P. Duval, 63, formerly of Dublin, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in Antrim.

Yvan was born in Scotstown, Canada on July 2, 1950, son of the late Armand and Monique (St. Onge) Duval. He was raised and educated in Canada and moved to the United States where he began working with his family at Lorden Lumber in Milford. In 1978, Yvan began working as a tool and die maker at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough. He was recently recognized by the company for his commitment and faithful service of over 35 years.

Yvan had been a volunteer firefighter on the Greenville Fire Department while he lived there. He enjoyed camping and NASCAR racing, and was a Jeff Gordon fan from the beginning. Yvan especially loved spending time with his family and spending summers camping with his family at Seven Maples Campground in Hancock.

Yvan is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda (Robichaud) Duval of Dublin, his son, Marc Duval of Billerica, Mass., his daughter, Jennifer Loeber and grandchildren Ryan and Samantha Loeber, all of Jaffrey; his sisters, Collette Belanger and her husband, Marcel, of Canada, Carolle Vaillancourt of New Ipswich, and Danielle 'Lou Lou' Thompson and her husband, Mark, of Wilton, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Friends and family are warmly invited to calling hours on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Rte 202) Jaffrey, NH 03452.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey, NH. Rev. Wilfred Deschamps will be the Celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, Yvan's family would prefer memorial donations be made in his name to the Good Neighbor Fund, P.O. Box 486, Jaffrey, NH 03452, or to Saint Patrick School, 70 Main Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
