Dorothy Conerly Weeks

Dorothy Conerly Weeks, 89, from Anacoco, who was born on July 22, 1922, died on June 14, 2012 at Byrd Regional Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Weeks Sr.; sons, Donald Joe and Craig Weeks; grandson, Charles R. "Chuck" Weeks, Jr.; and parents, G.C. and Malissia Conerly.
She is survived by his sons, Murphy N. Weeks, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Blanchard, and Charles R. Weeks, Sr. and wife Sudie of Toledo Bend; daughters, Melissa and Gloria Weeks of Anacoco; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, one niece, and a host of friends and relatives.
Dorothy was a member of Holly Grove United Methodist Church. She loved her family and church family dearly. Dorothy loved to quilt and read and she enjoyed spending most of her time with her family.
Visitation will be held from noon to 10 p.m. on June 15 at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Holly Grove Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on June 16 at the church in Anacoco; burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
