Ms.Martha, Lori, Chip, and Russ words can not express, first my feelings for my friend Irby who with my other classmates made many wonderful memories. Then when you married him we excepted you because you were just perfect for him, also we knew if he thought you were perfect you must surely be. Later as the children can along we could see parts of Irby and You shining through. My family has always thought he was the most thoughtful, giving Christian man and we will all miss him so much. My thoughts and prayers will be for for you and you special family.

I will never forget the singings at Jackson Chapel. Someone almost always asked Mr. Irby to lead Peace in the Valley but few people ever joined in with him. I think we all just loved to hear him sing it. He sang it so beautifully and with such emotion. I'll think of him every time I hear it. We lost a truly wonderful man. To Mrs. Martha and the rest of the Perkins Family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Martha, Chip, Lori, Russ, and extended family and grandchildren. I can not begin to think what you all are going through...Bro. Irby was not only a dear family friend but a great mentor, role model of the community and overall a wonderful person. There aren't enough words to begin to describe what Bro. Irby meant to all around the Pickering area. He would never greet a person without a smile. He will forever be in our hearts. Bro. Irby married me and Deanne June 26, 2005. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. If any of you need anything please contact us. Deanne is a phone call away. Mrs. Martha, Chip, Lori, Russ and family we love you all and you are all in our thoughts and prayers. If you need anything again do not hesitate to contact us.

Mr. Irby was one of the most important people in my life. He was the biggest influence in my Christian faith. His work with the young men at Jackson Chapel helped me to study my Bible and to be able to speak in front of the congregation. I looked up to Mr. Irby and consider him one of my heroes. He was one of the greatest men I knew and will miss him greatly. Ms. Martha if you need any help at all, I am more than willing to help you. My sympathy and prayers go out to Ms. Martha and family.

Martha - Where do I start to tell you how broken our hearts are for you, your children, grand-children, and family members, no words can express how sad and upset we are. Mike and I were the first couple Irby, Jr. ever married - 34 years ago - we always teased him that he made a marriage stick like glue!!! The sparkle he had in his eyes was the constant reminder of his genuine love for the Lord and how he wanted everyone, he knew and loved, to share in that same love. He loved you so very much and his children and their spouses and the precious grandbabies. Please know our hearts are with you and our prayers are constant. Love In Him, Darla and Mike Ewing

Martha, Chip, Lori, Russ - Words can never express my feelings for Irby and you. Irby was much more than a friend. We will walk daily in a world that is a dimmer place without all the love that Irby had in his heart, the love that he shared with people he met. His love of children is epitomized through his dedication to the youth of the community. Irby was the first adult friend that John had in this community when came to Fort Polk in 1980, he gave his all to Kendell and Kerry through his mentorship and patience during their T'Ball years, and you and Irby were there the night I gave birth to John Paul after a baseball game. He baptized John Paul and filled all of our lives with so many wonderful sermons, Sunday morning service will never be the same for us. Irby touched the lives of my family in so many ways. Thank you for giving us a part of Irby that we will always cherish. Our Love and Prayers are with you - John, Sherry, Kendell, Kerry, and John Paul
