Stephen Powell Obituary
Birmingham
Stephen Ellis Powell, 50, of Birmingham passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at his residence. Memorial service will be today, August 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Chapel in Tuscaloosa with the Reverend Hal Noble officiating. There will be a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Chapel Foyer at First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucille and Dayton Powell and Marvin T. and Izzie Ellis.
He is survived by his daughter, Avery Powell of Bay Minette; parents, Eleanor and Bill "Billy" Powell of Tuscaloosa; brother, Billy Powell of Nashville, Tennessee; uncles, Jimmy Powell of Northport and Robert Ellis of Jupiter, Fla.; and several nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Will Powell, Chris Powell, Alan Holland, Bob Lewis, Ryan Parker, Ray Seales, Brett Terry, Greg Terry and Wesley Mitchell.
In lieu flowers, the family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice.
