Plainfield, NH – Howard “Skip B. Hazelton, 67, of Old County Road in Plainfield died Saturday, October 30, 2010 while doing what he loved, enjoying the great outdoors. He was bon to Walter and Rae Hazelton of West Lebanon on August 17, 1943.

Skip graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1961. He then attended Plymouth State College before enlisting in the U.S. Navy at age 20. He worked as a self-employed electrician for most his life. Skip was a member of the American Legion and the Lebanon Elks also a past member of the Lebanon Lions Club. Skip loved his family, fishing, hunting, gardening and woodworking; but mostly he just loved keeping himself busy. He greatly enjoyed his trips to Maine with friends and family and the many fish he sought are safe for now.

He is survived by his wife Norma (Fellows) Hazelton; one son, Rick Hazelton and Rachele Martin; one daughter Melissa (Hazelton) Kelly and Patrick Kelly; two grandchildren, Greta and Caleb Hazelton; two brothers, Walter Hazelton and Beth; John Hazelton and Gail; three sisters, Kathy Sirois and Otto; Janet St. Cyr and Dan; Patty Gardner and Bob. He will be truly missed and remembered as hard-working, kind and generous.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon from 6 -8 pm. A funeral will be held at the West Lebanon Congregational Church on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 2 pm, with Rev. Richard Wierwille officiating; burial will follow in River Cemetery in Plainfield. Donations in his memory may be given to either the West Lebanon Congregational Church, 18 Maple Street, West Lebanon, NH 03784-1710 or the West Lebanon Alumni Association, P.O. Box 5089, West Lebanon, NH 03784.

Sorry to hear about Skip. We worked with Skip on our house project in 2005-2006 w/ Gary Spooner. He was an easy going person and did a wonderful job on our Enfield, NH house, thinking through the details for us and doing a perfect job.
