Thomas Gardner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ricker Funeral Homes & Crematory - Lebanon on Dec. 8, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Thomas 'Tom' Gardner on December 3, 2025, at the age of 60, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. A man defined by his quick wit, immense strength, and deep love for the outdoors, Tom leaves behind a legacy of laughter and enduring friendship.

Born and raised in Enfield, New Hampshire, next to Griswold's, whom he considered family. In his youth, Tom, the Griswold boys would be found outdoors, playing football or, as the stories go, getting into memorable shenanigans around town.

Tom will be remembered most for his great sense of humor, always ready with a joke and a knack for creating unique nicknames for everyone he met. His incredible physical strength was legendary, particularly in Pittsburg, a place he adored, where he was often called upon to pull stuck snowmobiles out of the deep snow. A true outdoorsman, Tom found his best times riding his Harley, camping, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. He was equally happy closer to home, whether meticulously mowing the lawn or chopping wood. He also shared a loving, 20-year relationship with his girlfriend, helping raise her children, Cory and Jessie Keane.

Tom was predeceased by his loving parents, Charles and Evelyn Gardner, Jeanne Gardner and his stepson, Cory Keane. He leaves behind his sisters, Debbie Cadwell, Linda Lord, his brother, Dick Gardner and stepdaughter, Jessie Keane. Several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion Post 22. In keeping with Tom's spirited nature, an outdoor celebration will continue afterward at Linda's home. Per his request, memorial donations may be made to Cory Keane's fly fishing scholarship, mailed to Phil Donovan, 52 Long Pond Road, Concord, NH 03301.
