Paula Strobel Obituary

PAULA STROBEL

NORMAL, Ill. — Paula J. Strobel, 70, of Normal, Illinois passed away Thursday November 24, 2016 in her home.

Paula was the daughter of Paul and Bernice (Blust) Moore. She grew up in Lima, Ohio where she graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School. She met Edward Strobel when she was working as a photographer for his brother's wedding and a year and half later they were married on April 1, 1967. He survives.

Family was the most important thing to Paula, she loved attending all of the grandchildren's events and performances. She also loved to travel, she and Ed traveled to many great locations including all but 3 of the Major League Baseball stadiums, her favorite teams were the Cubs and White Sox. In her spare time she loved to read and watch her favorite shows on TV, including cooking shows, Downton Abbey and Dancing with the Stars.

She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Ed; her loving children, Eric (Irva) Strobel of Alexandria, VA, Paul (Tamara) Strobel of Estacada, OR, Brian (Alice) Strobel of Yorkville, IL, Michelle (Pete) Hrubesky of Normal, IL and Heather (Ed) Berkheimer of Barnhart, MO; her loving grandchildren, Sam, Ben, Hannah Strobel, Rachel, Natalie Strobel, Elvicha Joy Strobel, Eddie, Emily and Tom Berkheimer, Kaylee and Kenzie Hrubesky.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Services are pending at East Lawn Funeral Home 1102 Airport Road Bloomington, IL., condolences may be made at eastlawn-bloomington.com.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or Leukemia Research Foundation (allbloodcancers.org/donate)
