James Huckaby Obituary

On October 27 at 5:30am, James William (Bill) Huckaby, peacefully went to be with Jesus. He was married for 72 years, never met a crossword puzzle he couldn't conquer, worked for PG&E (Fresno) as a Professional Land Surveyor, served our country as one of the first naval radarmen in WWII, had a heck of a golf game with a minimal handicap, and loved western novels. He leaves behind his wife, Mary, two children, Bill and Carol (married to Cathy and Tim respectively), 7 grandsons, 3 great grand-daughters, and one dog, Abbey. He will be remembered as a man who loved Jesus and his family immensely, served his country well, and enjoyed being retired more years than he worked. His Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 31st at Temple Baptist Church in Lodi at 1pm. In lieu of gifts or flowers, James wished donations to be made to Flipside Christian Church's youth group in Madera Ranchos, California.
