PHICO, W.Va. — Mrs. Mary A. Wiley, 81, of Phico, was born March 7, 1934, in Fayette County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lonnie and Geneva Potter Lafferty. She departed this life to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, January 11, 2016, at CAMC General Division at Charleston, W.Va.

Mrs. Wiley was retired from the Logan County Board of Education, worked for many years at the Aracoma Drug Company in Chapmanville, W.Va., was a member of the Crossroads Community Church in Chapmanville, where she was also a founding member of the Ladies' Aide. She was a dedicated mother to Karen and Tim, served faithfully as a true pastor's wife beside her husband for many years, was a faithful witness, a genuine prayer warrior, and she became a spiritual mother of many in the church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Glema (Gene) Cogar and Patricia Lively; brother, Beldon Lafferty, and a brother-in-law, Paul Bosley.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. John Wiley Jr.; children: Karen (Brian) Kilgore of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Tim Wiley of Phico; siblings, Joy (Frank) Cranfield, Rose (Kessler) Bragg, Libby (Biddle) Williamson, Beatrice Bosley, Diana (Ronnie) Vento, and Ronnie Lafferty; brother-in-law, Pat Lively; grandchildren: Tim (Kara) Wiley, Jeffrey Wiley, Kala Wiley, Alexis Kilgore, Madison Kilgore, and Bill (Melissa) Christian; great-grandchildren: Amelia Wiley, Nora Wiley, Billy Christian, Chase Christian, and Jacob Christian, and her Crossroads Community Church family.

Services will be at noon Friday, January 15, at Crossroads Community Church with Rev. Joe Lane officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum at Pecks Mill, W.Va.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
