Joseph Amabile Obituary
Joseph Michael Amabile, 73, died peacefully on March 11, surrounded by his family.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary, and children: Kelly McGlynn (Mark), Michael Amabile (Joanna Tellis) and Dan Amabile (Emily Poag); grandchildren Charlie, Peter, Molly and Will; sister, Catherine Amabile (Roberto Bullo); devoted brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many caring nieces and nephews.
Joseph was born on July 29, 1943 to Josephine and Arsenio and was raised in the Bronx. He graduated from the New York School of Interior Design and worked as an artist and interior designer in the Tri-State area. Joe participated in a variety of art exhibits and received awards for his mixed media collages.
Joe's creative spirit and unique sense of humor endeared him to many. He loved being with his family, playing games, working in the yard, and spending time on his art projects.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday, March 16th at Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River, NJ. Visiting is Wednesday, March 15th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., Pearl River, NY.
Donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to the Multiple Myeloma Program at The Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai Medical Center or the Edward Hopper House Art Center in Nyack, NY, or to any charity of your choice.

We are away on vacation but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers . We are filled with many many wonderful memories over the years spent with Joe and all of you. He was blessed with a loving family and we were blessed to know him.

Dear Rosemary,
I am so sorry for your loss.
Joe was a great neighbor, but a better friend. Every time you would see Joe he would say something that would make you smile.
We may not be able to make the service due to work commitments.

To Joe's family,
We met Joe in the early 70's when shopping for living room furniture at JH Harvey's in White Plains. My husband and I took an instant liking to Joe and due to his expertise and advice had the most beautiful living room of all our relatives. We still have a hunts desk that he suggested we purchase; and we still love it! We were saddened to read of his passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences at this time. Joe was a great guy!
