Grandpa Ernie was a soulful, sweet and special man. I first met him 8 or 9 years ago at a Preserve Ramapo meeting. "What can I do to help?" was the first thing he said. In his words and more importantly in his actions, Ernie Toss made a difference in our community and in the world. He was caring and conscientious, with a twinkle in his eye that made you happy just to be in his presence. We all will miss him very much. To his family, may the Love that Grandpa Ernie personified comfort and carry you through this difficult time. Connie Fisher

Grandpa Ernie was such a sweet and special man. I met him about 8 or 9 years ago at a Preserve Ramapo meeting. "What can I do to help?" was the first thing he said. In his words but more importantly in his actions, Ernie Toss made a difference in our community and in the world at large. He was caring and conscientious, with a twinkle in his eye that made you happy just to be in his presence. We will all miss him very much. To his family, I hope the Love that Grandpa Ernie personified will comfort and carry you through this difficult time. Connie Fisher

Dear Pop, Even though you've only been in my life a relatively short time, I'm going to miss you tremendously. Thank you for the years we did have; the laughs we shared; the chit-chat we shared. Most of all thank you for my beautiful husband; he has so many of your traits; you two shared so much. I'll be sure to take good care of him for you. Love, Joanne
