Daniel Long Obituary
Daniel Long of Pearl River, NY, and County Kerry, Ireland, died Friday September 20, 2013 in Co. Kerry, Ireland. He was 68.
Daniel lived in Pearl River for the past 23 years. Before that he lived in the Parkchester section of the Bronx.
Locally, he belonged to the Irish Cultural Center in Blauvelt, NY and the Kerry Man's Association. Daniel will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker, avid walker, he loved to talk and had a love of life.
He is the beloved husband of Catherine, loving father of Ann Marie and Brendan and daugher-in-law Heather, grandfather of Kristen, Liam and Enzo and loving sibling of Maureen Gavin of NY and 2 brothers and 1 sister in Ireland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday at St. Margaret's R. C. Church, Pearl River. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY. Visiting is Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.

Dan could always be found either out walking or spending time with his grand children. He would always stop to say hello. He was taken from this world too soon. Our prayers are with the family during this very sad time.
