Marlene Sorce Obituary
Marlene A. Sorce of West Nyack, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Hackensack Medical Center of Hackensack, NJ at the age 74. Marlene was born in Wallington, NJ on March 14, 1939 to Leroy and Mary (Wojtaszek) Roach. She married Joseph W. Sorce on April 11, 1959.
She was the co-owner with her husband of the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, Inc. in West Nyack. Marlene was very active in St. Anthony's Parish. She was a Eucharistic minister, a member of the Blessed Mother Sodality, past member of the Parish Council and a longtime member of the St. Anthony's Choir, where she will be greatly missed. She was also a member of the West Nyack Ladies Auxiliary, Polish-American Club and was a secretary for St. Ann's Church in Nyack.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph W. Sorce, her devoted children, Melissa Sorce-DeNicola and her husband John, son, Joseph P. Sorce and his wife Paige and cherished grandson, Dakota J. DeNicola. She is also survived by her sisters, Lenore Roach of Warwick, NY and Kathleen Sacco and her husband Tom of Mason, OH. and brother, Leroy Roach and his wife Nancy of Toms River, NJ, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Elinore and Michael Mazzola and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday (TODAY), November 1 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc., 728 West Nyack Rd., West Nyack, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 am on Saturday, November 2 at St. Anthony's Church, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY. Entombment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet.

My sincere condolences on Marlene's passing. She was a lovely lady and will be missed.
I enjoyed her company after we taught religion and went downstairs to discuss the night,we shared many laughs.
She's now our newest angel in heaven!
