Anthony Ventriglia Obituary
Anthony Emilo Ventriglia, of Bronxville, NY, passed away on August 28, 2012. Anthony was born in NYC on June 20, 1922. He is survived by wife Lois, daughters Patti Maguire and Linda Carella and five grandchildren. Pre-deceased by brother Vincent Vente. Other family members include two nieces, Joanne Vente and Barbara Vente. Anthony graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1938, obtained his Bachelor Degree from Columbia in 1942, received his Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics at Brown in 1943 and continued his studies at Cornell until 1944. Anthony served in the Army/Air force branch in Langley, VA from 1944 till the end of the war. He was a Professor of Mathematics at Manhattan College for 45 years and retired in 1995. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday. Service at The Reformed Church of Bronxville on Friday August 31 at 11 am. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Heart Association.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow "Jasper Maker" and the family at this time. Faculty -- current and past -- are recognized, remembered, and prayed for. We are mindful of the service of these good men and women that comprise the Jasper "forge" that making us what we are. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
