Dear McSherry Family,
This is Kim Vanditto (Kim Curtis, from Hollywood Ave, Gabe's daughter). I am very saddened to hear of this. I have very fond memories of you all and our extended friends during the time I grew up in Crestwood, and spending time together with you all at the Jersey Shore. I have a great shot in my mind of him on our boat one day during a summer, long ago. I don't think there was ever a time I saw Ed without a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. I will always remember him that way.
Much Love,
Kim

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

Dear Eileen and Maureen, we were so saddend and shocked to hear of Ed's passing. He was a great husband, father and all around "good guy". I had many great times working with him at IBM and then we always enjoyed meeting him at the O'Rourke dance recitals. He will be sorely missed. One of the all-time greats... Heaven must have had an emergency need for an outstanding Eucharistic Minister, so they called him home. He will be sorely missed, and long-remembered. RIP Uncle Ed.
