John Ohlandt Obituary
Ohlandt, John Frederick - age 90 passed away peacefully on June 20th. He was the beloved brother of Sr. Joanna Ohlandt, CSJ and Katherine Ohlandt-O'Connor, and also leaves a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law and 23 nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Manhattan College and St. John's Law School, and served in the US Army. He was employed in the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office, and was a Patent Attorney with IBM before establishing his own practice which became Ohlandt Greeley Ruggerio & Perle LLP, from which he retired. He will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful and considerate gentleman. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville, on Monday, June 24 at 10 am.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put his arms around you and said "Come to me". With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
We will miss you Uncle John, give Aunt Phyllis all our love.

As a secretary to John Ohlandt when he had an office in White Plains, I was always impressed by his thoughtfulness and his cheerful nature. I extend my sympathy to John's family.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
