As a kid, I often watched him shoot baskets in front on School No. 4. I admired him a lot. I know that he is with Jesus now whole, perfect, and complete.

Valerie, it saddened me to hear of Mike passing away. But I know he is with God. I remember those times when we would all go to picnics or bbq. I recall Mike as a tall strong man yet calm and soft spoken. I know he will always be that man in your hearts. My condolences and sympathies to you and Jojo. And to all who loved him.
From Lynn and I. God bless.

Mike and I used to travel all over looking for a good basketball game. At 6'8 he jumped rope better and faster than me. You could not knock the ball out of his grip with a sledgehammer. He had a right hook like a heavyweight champ. He used to come over my house all the time back in HS. My parents still joke seeing his head pass the windows as he went up the alley. In our travels we played against Chris Mullen and countless others. I forgot how much we used to hang out. Coach Jim Joyce said, in the paper, Bruno was my friend and biggest fan. As with so many I lost touch with Mike but we did get together for my 40th and went bowling. Feeling nostalgic. My best to Mike's family, sorry for you loss.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
