Phyllis worked for many years in the Alumni Relations office where she was the one who went out of her way to help any alum that called - always with a smile in her voice. A very nice lady.

May She rest In Peace.

Dear Jim and Children,
I wish I could be with you for the wake and funeral of my dear friend Phyllis. She called us "sisters of the heart" and were certainly were. I like to picture her in heaven meeting family and friends. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the months ahead. Love, Sheila McCloskey

Dear Jim and family, On behalf of our family here in Ireland please accept our sincere condolences on our dear cousin Phyllis' passing. May she rest in peace. I have fond memories of Phyllis' trip to Ireland, meeting her in Paris and of course in Yonkers.
May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand. ~Irish Blessing.
Fondly remembered, your cousin, Patrick Hynes, Gort, Co. Galway, Ireland.

Marty, Caitlin & Family,
I am at a loss for adequate words to express my sadness for you. I know heaven just received one of the most special angels. You are a reflection of your mom & nanny in the way your treat people with respect and empathy. Not to mention the way you make each person feel loved. I am so sorry for your loss. Your in my thoughts & prayers.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow "Jasper Maker" and the family at this time. Staff -- current and past -- are recognized, remembered, and prayed for. We are mindful of the service of these good men and women that comprise the Jasper "forge" that making us what we are. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

I worked at Manhattan College in the college relations office in the late 80s and early 90s. Phyllis was a wonderful colleague and taught me a great deal about Manhattan and life. Her gentle, sweet way, coupled with her humor made coming to work a pleasure. Whenever I have thought of her over the years, I have remembered her smile. You and your family are in my prayers. May Phyllis rest in peace.
